About Us

Gael Music was set up as a registered charity in 2006 to promote understanding and appreciation of the traditional arts amongst people of all ages. Originally based in the Southeast of England it now works mainly in Scotland having relocated to Glasgow in 2012.

Celebrating the Present

Gael Music was a delivery partner of the 2014 Commonwealth Games Cultural Programme Festival 2014. We commission cultural and educational activities and run regular classes on a range of folk related instruments through our folk academies  and work in schools.

Sensing the Future

Through a shared learning appoach and unique learning materials, we provide young people, their families and communities with the opportunity to explore their own heritage and develop cultural strengths whilst nurturing and developing artisic talent within a safe, creative and social environment.
